Emmanuel Miserlis with limited resources but endless passion and love for his work - sets up EMMIS with the production of single-phase low-voltage transformers as its core business.

1979

The company gains the trust of the market very fast and invests in production machinery in order to respond to the increasing demand; at the same time, it moves to bigger space in the area of Dafni, Attica.

1980

1980

The production becomes vertical and an in-house department of metal structures - which are integrated into the final products - is created.

1981

The activities of the company expand with the production of power electronics, such as power supplies, battery chargers, and voltage stabilizers; at the same time, EMMIS continues to invest in new production machinery and specialized staff.

1982

EMMIS develops a national sales network to cover the increasing needs of the Greek market.

1983

EMMIS starts the production of three-phase low-voltage transformers.

1984

EMMIS reaches a 10-years strategic agreement with AEG HELLAS for the provision of transformers which will cover the needs of new nationwide telecommunications networks.

1985

EMMIS signs its first cooperation agreements in the marine sector - with stores of electrical marine equipment and companies specialized in marine electrical installations.

1990

The second generation (Andreas and Gerasimos Miserlis) take positions of responsibility in the commercial and technical operations of the company, giving new perspective in the company's future development.

2000

EMMIS implements the Quality Management System ISO 9001 leading to the respective certificate.

2004

Its products are installed in large Olympic projects, such as Athens Olympic Stadium and Shinias rowing track.

2010

2011

Responding in time to the harsh conditions of the global economic crisis and its huge consequences in the Greek economy, EMMIS develops its new long-term development strategy, which implements consistently in the coming years.

2012

The company relocates to new modern facilities of 1250m2 of international standards.

2013

Its low-voltage transformers are upgraded and certified by TÜV SÜD.

2014

Its product portfolio is enriched with new control and power quality products of the latest technologies, such as voltage stabilizers, power factor correction systems, insulation and temperature monitors, current transformers, and others.

2016

EMMIS develops new marine transformers which are certified (type approval) by Lloyd’s Register.

2017

EMMIS develops complete electrical supply, control, and power quality system.

2018

The new EMMIS MARINE business unit is created exclusively for the marine sector. A new era of extroversion begins with the company's participation in the largest trade fairs and exhibitions of the marine globally (Posidonia, SMM Hamburg, Sea Asia Singapore, Europort Netherlands); at the same time, it becomes a member of HEMEXPO (Hellenic Marine Equipment Manufacturers and Exporters).

The company's investments in production machinery, know-how and marketing, bring tangible results; sales have been doubled, profitability is increasing and exports are growing to over 15 countries.

Entry into the defence industry with the award of a project by Naval Group, for the manufacture of Belh@rra frigates in Greece
