It was a great honor for EMMIS to be present at the launching ceremony of the first FDI frigate "KIMON" (F601), represented by Mr. Andreas Miserlis (CEO), on October 4, 2023 at the Naval Group shipyard (Lorient, France). The important ceremony (the first such ceremony after 2.5 decades for the Greek Navy), was honoured by the presence of the Ministers of National Defence of Greece (Mr. Nikos Dendias) and France (Mr. Sébastien Lecornu), the Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Ioannis Drymousis, as well as Mr. George Prokopiou, the new owner of the Skaramanga shipyards and one of the leading Greek shipowners.
Equally special was the greeting (see group photo) of the 2 Ministers of National Defence to the representatives of the companies, which took place upon their arrival at the shipyard.
In his official speech, Naval Group CEO Mr. Pierre Éric Pommellet made a special mention of EMMIS. It should also be mentioned that EMMIS is one of the four Greek companies that signed a contract with Naval Group at the end of June 2022.
